Where we'll be
Las Ventanas means "the windows to paradise." It sits on a white-sand stretch of the Sea of Cortez between San José del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas, built like a small Mexican village: whitewashed walls, blue tile, bougainvillea, and a private beach.
Breakfast is included every morning, in the restaurant or on your own patio. The pools, the beach, the spa and the restaurants are all a short walk from your room, and the staff will sort out anything from a snorkel to a tee time.
Days on the beach are around 80°F in December. Pack sunscreen.
Before you pack
No visa is needed for US, EU, UK or Swiss passports. Cabo is one hour ahead of San Francisco, two hours behind New York and eight hours behind Germany.
December is Cabo's best month. Sunny days around 80°F / 27°C, and evenings that drop to about 62°F / 17°C. Both dinners are outdoors, so bring a jacket or wrap. Rain is rare.
Friday: relaxed, and on the sand. Linen and sandals. Saturday: cocktail attire. Sunday: chill. Swimwear and something for the boat.
None expected.
